Online Community Manager (Marketing)

Responsibilities:
Serve as an official spokesperson to the community
Develop trust, and an online persona that generates fan loyalty within the community
Moderate message boards for appropriateness and answer panel inquiries
Use community feedback and experience to contribute to the design, vision and utility of the site
Analyze, understand and prioritize the needs of the community
Assist in online marketing research, strategic planning and brainstorming
Keep community website properties updated with fresh content. Involves page layout, graphics creation and formatting and programming
Run and manage online events including tournaments, contests and chats.
Create new ways we can be more effective in community outreach including viral programs, sweepstakes, online chats, exclusive content, etc .
Manage external contractors and vendors to carry out community and promotional initiatives (Live World)
Write business and functional specification documents related to the improvement and creation of new functionality for existing and new community offerings.
Provide detailed community reports to senior management.
Research solutions internally and externally that can be employed to meet needs of assigned projects.
Work with Research (when established) team to implement new surveys.
Work closely with engineering and sales operations to ensure improvements, redesigns and new launches are delivered on time with specifications intact.
Conduct testing and quality assurance on assigned projects to ensure consistency, completeness and lack of bugs.
Provide training and documentation to educate users about new features and their implementation.
Serve as a liaison between business development and sales groups, external clients and production groups for partnerships or sponsorships affecting the community sites.
Stay on the cutting-edge of internet marketing technologies and make regular recommendations to management about new tools which should be employed
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required
1-3 years experience in Online Marketing and/or Community Management.
Must be passionate about entertainment and knowledgeable about online marketing and communities.
Experience creating and leading online marketing programs such as viral campaigns, mini-games, etc.
Online chat or forum moderation experience.
Strong, demonstrated writing skills, preferably with experience producing marketing or news material
The maturity and instinct to know what, and what not, to say
Proven skill with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PhotoShop
