Non Clinical - SAS Programmer (UNIX/VB)

Responsibilities: Our client is seeking a SAS Programmer with experience in Sales and Marketing at a pharmaceutical company, rather than clinical trial experience. The Programmer will contribute to the success of the Analytics team through design, development, evaluation, and modification of computer programs used to analyze and evaluate pharmaceutical sales data in SAS. This individual writes programs typically using SAS language to support the analytics area, and may also write programs using Oracle PL/SQL, UNIX, and/or Basic Script languages. This person recognizes inconsistencies and initiates resolution of data problems; implements data management plans designed to meet project and protocol deadlines; and will provide statistical programming expertise in the production of datasets, analyses, tabulations, graphics, and listings from sales data. The Programmer will perform quality assurance procedures and partners with the data quality control team to deliver timely and accurate information to business users; will develop, test, validate, document, maintain and execute software and/or systems using the currently endorsed tools or support of production activities; and will assist in the integration of data from remote entry sites, contract organizations and co-licensing partners to the central database. In addition, this person develops, maintains, and provides on call support on an as needed basis; and may be required to assist with or assume other IS sales and marketing support responsibilities as deemed appropriate by management (ad-hoc projects like testing and technical design etc.).
