Network and Server System Administrator

For almost 50 years Landiscor has pioneered the aerial photography and information industry. Currently, we have a great opportunity for a high caliber, self-motivated, success-driven individual to support the administration of the company’s network infrastructure system.


Essential Responsibilities:

Network and Server Administration:
·Evaluate and configure server and workstation hardware and software for maximum performance of Landiscor image processing tasks
·Evaluate, recommend, and deploy selective use of open sourced operating systems and tools
·Monitor Landiscor image processing task compute performance, diagnosis and tune as needed, and work with Production operations for continual improvements
·Maintain and deploy desktop standard hardware and software image
·Monitor compliance with commercial software license usage. Proactively advise management of software license compliance issues
·Perform the daily administration responsibilities associated with the company’s application servers. Perform Daily and Weekly system backups.
·Review daily error and utilization logs and performs routine diagnostics to resolve conflicts within a TCPIP environment.
·Procures and assembles components for new hardware, and equipment repairs. High level of ability to build and configure individual; workstations and system servers.
·Maintain all company databases, digital production, ACT!, etc.
·Manage offsite data storage
·VOIP Phone system maintenance and integration

Technical Service Support:
·Provide all Desktop support to all staff members. Hardware and software related issues and updates.
·Update all anti-virus software applications and make certain all users install periodic updates.
·Troubleshoot all VPN and connectivity issues.
·Maintains support documentation of service needs used to analyze and improve technical support function.

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
·Experience with LANWAN, SQL technologies, including multiple Microsoft network operating systems (NT, 2000, Windows 2003, MS Exchange, etc) and protocols (TCPIP), Symantec.
·Strong knowledge and experience with PC hardware and software.
·Strong knowledge of VPN connectivity.
·Ability to visualize the operation of internal softwarehardware interaction in order to provide customer service and help-desk technical support.
·Demonstrate oral and written communication skills.
·Experience with Linux open source operating systems and associated management tools.
·Experience with server monitoring tools such as Servers Alive or What’s Up?
·Ability to prioritize appropriately.
·Must be extremely well organized
·Possess the ability to multitask efficiently
·Be proactive.
