Network Support Engineer (Mid Level)

Provide second level hardware/software/Network and telecommunications support for Focus Diagnostics’ customers internal and external. More specifically:

Network & Backbone Devices

•Backbone equipment installation and configuration which includes CISCO switches, routers, Firewall and IDS
•Responsibilities include VPN and tunneling support
•Server installation, configuration, and upgrades
•Laptop support and installation
•Software evaluation with recommendations to management
•Backbone inventory and hardware tracking and maintenance
•Network backup and disaster recovery procedures
•Network monitoring and network securities
•Compliance procedures with Sarbanes Oxley Act
•Managing other network devices
•Diagnose and resolve LAN and WAN issues, under the direction of the Network Support Manager.

•Diagnose and resolve in-house audio and visual equipment issues.

•Set up and break down in-house audio/visual equipment in conference rooms as needed.

•Provide support for internal data and voice equipment moves.

•Provide support for issues with lab instruments connected to PCs/MACs/LAN.

•Provide support to Network Support Manager for software virus related issues.

•Install and set up PCs and related equipment for new employees.

•Provide support for telecommunication issues, including internal moves.

•Communicate clearly with end users regarding the status of issues.

•Provide one on one PC and telecommunication related training, as needed.

•Abide by Focus Diagnostics IT policies and standards.

•Communicate clearly with Manager and end users regarding status of calls.

•Assist Network Team as required.

•Maintain professional and competent atmosphere.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Associate of Science Degree (AS) or equivalent from a Two-Year College or Technical School; Minimum 5 years of experience working with CISCO devices and servers. Certification requirements: MCSE 2003, CCNA and/Or CCNP.
