Network Security Analyst

Purpose: TEKsystems has partnered with a client in the Greater Cincinnati area to identify a Network Security Analyst and is 6 months with a right to hire.

Our client looking for a network Security analyst to maintains and support the company's network and security device implementations for production and development environments. This person needs to have at least 3 years of security experience.
Essential functions of this will be:
1. Implements router and switch configuration changes to provide maximum
performance and cost efficiency.
2. Performs regular system backups to ensure data security.
3. Writes and maintains various documentation.
4. Implements data center changes.
5. Participates in project teams to research, develop, and implement complex
networks.
6. Analyzes system workloads including traffic and utilization trends. Identifies and recommends adjustments or
improvements.
7. Completes new device deployments as upgrades or replacements. 8. Completes new product deployments and
associated configuration changes.
9. Develops and implements best practices and procedures for networking and security.
10 .Assists users with solving technical, operational, and equipment problems.
11. Maintains a current knowledge of relevant
technologies.
12.Work's off hours as needed to provide operational support. Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Performs other related duties as assigned .Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in computer science or the equivalent in
education and experience.
2. Cisco CCNA certification (CCNP switching preferred). 3. Three years related experience in a Windows, Linux, and Unix environment. 4. Comprehensive knowledge of TCP/IP and security practices and concepts.
5. Working knowledge of Internet technologies, VPN's, and firewall technologies.
6. Excellent organization and project management skills and able to manage multiple demands and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
7. Strong communication skills and able to effectively
communicate technical information to users.
8. Strong interpersonal skills - able to work with a variety of personalities and maintain composure under stressful conditions.
9.Able to work evenings and weekends as needed.
