Network Administrator

This position ensures the stable operation of the in-house computer network.

Responsibilities Include:
- Plan, develop, install, configure, maintain, support, and optimize all network hardware, software, and communication links

- Maintain network infrastructure to ensure high availability and solid performance

- Review, recommend, and implement security policies and procedures for all network systems

- Conduct research and maintain a broad knowledge of current and emerging state-of-the-art computer/network technologies, architectures, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts

- Miscellaneous projects and duties as assigned

Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to work independently to prepare project plans, estimate timelines, and forecast completion dates
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers
- Excellent customer service skills, with emphasis on follow-up and follow-through
- Specific technical experience/training required in the following areas:
TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory and hardware/software troubleshooting
Windows Server and Desktop Administration
Backup Exec
Exchange 2000/2003
SQL Server 2000
MS Terminal Services
Nortel BCM Management
Phone Systems
Cisco VPN
MS Service Monitoring
Printer and Copier Administration
Anti-Virus and Anti-SPAM Management
Cisco Administration, CCNA
