.NET DEVELOPER

Our downtown Chicago office has an immediate opening for a hands-on .NET developer, responsible for developing .NET web applications. This person is responsible for translating business requirements into high quality technical designs, database structures and working applications. Will integrate and test moderate to complex .NET 2.0 web applications, ensuring that all technical components are usable, reliable, scalable, extensible, interoperable, and reusable. Will perform appropriate design/code reviews and unit/integration testing. Candidates should be self motivated and possess the ability to work independently on projects.Demonstrated Experience:Partnering with project managers and business analysts to create specs and time/cost estimates, then developing deliverables.
Translating business requirements into working applications/systems based on .NET (web applications in VB.NET).
Coding, testing, debugging, and supporting .NET applications
Working in or developing Service Oriented architectures a plus.
Writing T-SQL queries, stored procedures, scripting and troubleshooting.
Developing web services.
Using Object Oriented Design.
Utilizing best practices of Systems Development Life Cycle.
Working independently and managing own time with assigned tasks from design specifications.
Creating and documenting detailed software designs
REQUIREMENTS


Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
2-3 years in developing VB.NET web applications2-3 years in database design
Comprehensive knowledge of HTML with JavaScript
Experience with MS SQL Server 2000/2005
Working knowledge Microsoft Visual Studio .NET
Knowledge of XML and Web Services development
Experience with the DotNetNuke framework ideal
Experience in C# a plus
Must be able to work in a team environment
Strong written and verbal skills
Strong, positive, customer service attitude
Self motivated; ability problem solve and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
