NCS Tech Planner

As an NCS Tech Planner with U.S. Bank, you will:

Under general supervision, perform complex tasks relating to network monitoring, operations, installation, testing and/or maintenance for local, off-site and/or remote locations

Provide technical assistance and guidance to less experience technicians

Handle complex network tasks and activities; identifies and resolves complex network problems

Be responsible for maintaining the integrity and connectivity of network communication elements

Monitor and analyze the performance and status of all network facilities

Interface with users and vendors to identify and resolve network malfunctions.
Support and troubleshoot the telecommunications equipment in both the data and voice network environments
Job Requirements
While we expect that you’ll possess a strong basic skill set, including excellent communication and people skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team or independently, we also require:

Well developed written and oral communication skills and the ability to think clearly in high pressure situations

Highly polished analytical skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
A through understanding of data networking including routing, switching, and WAN network technology including frame relay, ATM and MPLS.

Robust knowledge of POTS, ISDN, Centrex, DS1 through OC-n and Cisco, Nortel, Avaya equipment is desired. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification is required

Four to eight years experience supplemented with continuing education telecom and network courses or seminars

Associates or Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited College or University is highly desired.
