Multimedia Designer

As a leading internet services and infrastructure company based in South Florida, our company has been profitable since inception in 1995 and currently employs over 170 technical and e-commerce professionals working in a fast-paced, rewarding environment. We are seeking immediate hires for a full-time position. You will be required to relocate to our Florida offices. Relocation assistance will be provided for the right candidate. Multimedia Designers create compelling, original designs ranging from websites to rich media online interactive product prototypes and presentations. A Multimedia Designer is able to translate client business requirements, user needs and technical capabilities into designs that are visually exciting; easy to use that addresses the clients’ needs. Expected to participate actively in a culture of innovation and teamwork, Interactive Designers have excellent conceptual skills, as well as effective interpersonal and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with management, project managers, and developers. The Multimedia Designer will:
Brainstorm and conceptualize new projectsTake projects from inception to completion.Participate in client meetings.Work with project managers to establish production timelines.Interpret design direction from creative director and implement on a project level.Create style-guides and design specs for specific projects.Manage designers and production staff on a project-by-project basis.Provide creative innovation for the projects you work on, and for the team as a whole.Develop best practices, processes, and innovations to speed development timeline.Work in a changing, team-oriented environment. REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of four years professional digital design experience with a focus on branding, user interface design, and developing interactive mediaB.A. in graphic design, interactive design, multimedia, marketing, fine arts, advertising, or a related discipline a PLUSStrong visual style and thorough understanding of how typography, layout, color, images and interactivity impact design.Bullet-proof knowledge of interactive Flash movies and proficiency with ActionScript 1.0 or 2.0.Comfort with Photoshop, HTML, and vector graphics programs (Freehand/Illustrator) that comes from repeated use of the applications.Knowledge of Java Script, ASP.net, ASP a PLUSVideo Editing Skills A PLUSExcellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, verbal, and written skills.Prior participation as a contributor to an interdisciplinary team. This will include a creative director, art director/interactive designer, other designers, project managers and instructional designers.Professional drive and the ability to self-manage tight-timelines and potentially stressful deadlines.Bonus: Knowledge of capabilities and limitations of Web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, AICC/SCORM, ASP.net, ASP, PHP, AJAX, and CSS.Individuals or companies outsourcing to other countries, or individuals who are looking to outsource this work to their company SHOULD NOT APPLY.
