Messaging Specialist

Responsibilities: A major financial company, located in NYC, is looking for a Messaging Specialist. The selected candidate will manage day-to-day operations of a 100+ server global Exchange 2000/2003 and Active Directory infrastructure as well as provide Level-3 support to desktop support groups and day-to-day administration of the Messaging and Active Directory infrastructures (ensuring that all servers are performing properly). The Specialist will perform daily system checks; proactive capacity planning, trending, analysis, and maintenance as well as user and development group notifications for all production infrastructure changes. The Specialist will provide virus signature deployment (Antigen and SAV), respond to Help Desk escalations (Mailbox, Distribution List and Public Folder administration), complete user service requests (to ensure that all SLAs are met), evaluate and deploy operating system and application patches, hotfixes, or updates, and administer Postfix MTAs. The Specialist will provide administration of anti-SPAM message filters, administration and support of 2,000+ Blackberry PDAs, and 6 Blackberry Enterprise Servers. This person will be responsible for interfacing with the helpdesk and end-user support personnel in order to ensure that the group is performing effectively and providing service to our client's business users. Messaging and AD Operations support is a 24x7 organization with follow-the-sun world-wide coverage. Operations support includes: building new servers to SOE and deploying (may include travel).
