Marketing Database Analyst

As a Marketing Database Analyst, you will work closely with internal management to analyze business needs and strategic information requirements. Additionally, you will maintain and develop reports that provide analysis of business performance, using customer data. This work will require hands-on retrieval of data from various databases. You will market project objectives and results to the business, and communicate project progress effectively to senior management.In this role, you will be responsible for Time Series, Customer Behavior and Customer Performance analyses, segmentation and campaign list generation. In addition, you will need to work closely with representatives from other analytical areas, internal technology groups, and vendor partners to support internal campaigns, and maintain/enhance customer databases. You will also be responsible for the full cycle of campaign analysis, which includes: hypothesis Setting, test and control design, campaign tracking, and making future recommendations. You must understand the nuances of technologies and apply business principles to select and maintain vendor relationships.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree At least three years of experience in database marketing, data analysis or a similar discipline with an intermediate proficiency in data manipulation, analysis and mining required Proven ability to manage complex projects (with at least one year of comparable project management experience), build partnerships and effectively establish and maintain relationships with clients and deliver results in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment Intermediate proficiency with SQL, SAS and relational databases required Familiarity with Oracle and/or Universal DB (DB2) on Unix or NT platform a plus Must have an intermediate proficiency with trend, P&L and customer behavior analyses Familiarity with campaign tracking, management and analysis tools Familiarity with all phases of campaign analysis required (hypothesis setting, test and control design, campaign tracking,and future recommendations) Strong interpersonal and communications skills
