POSITION DESCRIPTIONTitle:Manager, e-BusinessReports to:Vice President of Marketing and CommunicationsSupervision received:MinimalExemption status:ExemptPurpose of position:Account management & client service representative utilizing technology to promote & support on-line donation system.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Increase participation in United eWay
•Configure, manage, customize United eWay suite of products for local and national accounts.•Conduct sales and demonstrations of all eBusiness products; train external users on the technology suite of products.
•Serve as point of contact for e-campaigns.
•Utilize staff contacts to introduce United eWay concept as an option of participating in the community campaign.
•Develop and implement plan for marketing technology suite of products to small/medium businesses.•Train internal staff on the suite of products so they are able to introduce the topic of eWay to major accounts.
•Identifying cross–selling opportunities.
•Research best practices and evolving technology.• Assist in delivery of year-round electronic communication plan for eCustomers.Relationship Management
•Establish and maintain relationships with current and prospective participants in United eWay.
•Interface extensively with customers (campaign coordinators, IT, payroll and donors).
•Work jointly with account manager to identify prospects and maintain relationships described above.
•Participate in new account development initiatives.
•Participate in cross-functional relationship management team.
•Utilize eWay capabilities to effectively communicate with donors; obtain donor interests; and convey messages in a cost-effective manner.Administrative
• Monitor projects, resolve issues, and ensure successful implementation of technology suite.
• Maintain eWay Certification.
•Maintain security and privacy policies and procedures.
•Serve as backup to export United eWay accounts for IT upload into back-end processing system when necessary.
Miscellaneous/Future Applications
•Capitalize on the advancement of technology in resource development, community impact, and donor stewardship to advance organizational objectives.
•Help take United Way to the “next level” in online donor relationship management.
•Mentor smaller United Way organizations on United eWay.OTHER DUTIES

Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS TO PERFORM JOB SUCCESSFULLY
Education and/or Experience
The ideal candidate will have experience in communicating, presenting, and promoting technology. Sales, marketing, and/or fund raising experience a plus. BA/BS or equivalent experience.
Technical Requirements
Highly proficient with MS Windows and Office suite. Familiar with basic import/export of data. Experience with web-based content and/or e-business management application services required. E-commerce and e-commerce management experience a plus. Solid understanding of online information security and privacy. Experience with broadcast e-mail to customer/donor base. Understanding of web development, design, and HTML, however this is NOT a developer or designer position. Experience in working with and “speaking the language” of web technical and design teams a plus. Candidate will receive formal and informal training to become an expert on, and implementer of the eWay Suite of products. Ability to understand and use technology strategically; ability to understand how information technology is evolving as it relates to the non-profit environment and to interpret how it will enable business operations to be more effective and improve customer satisfaction; committed to keeping abreast of advances in technology.
Communication/Language skills
Strong customer service orientation. Must project a professional image at all times. Frequent and continuous oral and written communication with internal and external customers. Comfort and proficiency with presentation skills both one-on-one and publicly. Requires the use of courtesy, tact, and discretion. Effective listening skills. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Knowledge of business English correspondence, correct punctuation, and grammatical usage.
Organizational skills
Able to manage multiple responsibilities and effectively prioritize. Be proactive in regard to advanced planning. Skills in organizing work flow with interruptions. Able to meet deadlines.
Mathematical skills
Ability to complete basic math as well as review and interpret reports and graphs.Other skills

Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing eWay participants.
Internal
Direct working relationships with the Vice President of Marketing and Communications and Director of Information Systems. Close working relationships with resource development and community impact staff. Working relationships with Senior Vice President, Resource Development and staff in other functional areas: community impact and finance & administration.These job responsibilities are to be the main emphasis of this position.
