Manager - Internal Controls/SOX/Ops

Our client, an international, leading manufacturer of storage and hard drives, currently has an opportunity for a Manager of Internal Controls with a focus on SOX 404 initiatives and Operations. Based in their corporate headquarters in Scotts Valley[Santa Cruz], California, this position will involve SOX compliance execution and improvements, refining of key controls and understanding operational financial reporting and may involve some travel to other corporate locations within the US, Far East Asia, and Europe.Responsibilities include: SOX compliance execution, including continuous improvement of the processes, and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance. Executing SOX strategy decisions, scoping and planning and responsible for execution. Implementing the evolution of SOX from a project to an ongoing program. Reviewing and refining key controls around significant financial processes and accounts Through all activities gain a closer understanding of Seagate processes and internal controls Understanding operational financial reporting to over time integrate internal controls with financial reporting controlsExperience Required: 3+ years of progressive experience Expertise on SOX 404 compliance required. Big 4 Public Accounting Firm experience, including having obtained the level of manager or higher a plus. Strong leadership skills. Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Willingness to travel based on business needs as determined by managementEducation: BA/BS Degree, preferably with a concentration in Accounting or Finance or Business. CPA/MBA a definite plus.
