The Manager of Global IT Operations is responsible for leading the data center operations and computing services technical support teams. In this capacity, the successful candidate must establish technical and operational strategies for these teams which results in high degree of reliability and performance from our data centers and computing systems. In addition, the role will be responsible for insuring compliance, within our computing infrastructure,mew with key regulatory requirements such as Sarbanes-Oxley. This role will also maintain relationships with the managers of key computing facilities around the globe. In this capacity he will drive the standardization of equipment and processes to achieve a high level of reliability and service for all Timken Associates.



The ideal candidate will have the following responsibilities: Budget results for the data center and computing services cost centers. Development and testing of disaster recovery plans for the data center and key computing platforms. Development of a strategy and business case for key infrastructure upgrades to insure the viability key computing resources. Management of production cycles, ensuring accurate and timely processing while maintaining high service levels.5. Establishment of procedures to monitor the computing environment and proactively deal with problems impacting service delivery. Establishment and execution of processes for change control, configuration management and capacity management.

REQUIREMENTS
Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Operations, Business or Information Technology with 10 Years experience -OR- Masters Degree in Operations, Business or Information Technology with 8 Years experience. -OR- A Bachelor's degree in Operations, Business or Information Technology with 10 Years experience in IT -AND- Five years experience managing a medium to large sized data center Experience managing IBM mainframe and Windows/Intel environments.

Desired: Experience with the I T I L methodology 3 Years experience as a manager of managers
