Manager - Central Computing & Tech Support

The incumbent is responsible for providing both strategic and tactical support for the central mainframe environment, related disaster recovery sites, and other necessary peripheral components (i.e. printing, etc.). Also provides management and leadership for the technical support staff. Develops necessary metrics and management practices to provide a “best-in-class” operation and system availability. Provides thought leadership and strategic direction and planning for the organizations mainframe environment, continuously seeking opportunities to improve service, improve business unit productivity, and insure business alignment with strategic goals. Works closely with peer group in aligning department services, and providing end-to-end solutions.
REQUIREMENTS
•High School Diploma or equivalent amount of training and experience. College Degree in computer science and/or equivalent experience preferred.
•10 years of banking or related working experience with 3 years experience as a manager.
•Superior knowledge of software/hardware analysis.
•Proven experience with remote management.
•Proven experience developing central computing and mainframe strategies and implementing leading edge technologies.
•Superior knowledge of mainframe technologies, applications, etc.
•Superior financial forecasting knowledge.
•Knowledge of operating and networking systems.
•Proficient Microsoft Professional Office experience including Word, Access, Excel and other related software.
•Ability to manage a budget.
