Mainframe DB2 DBA Manager

An experienced Mainframe DBA Manager to provide guidance to and manage a dozen or so technical professionals who are either Data Base Administrators or Systems Administrators in a dynamic z/OS and Sysplex operating systems environment. A four year B.S. Degree is a requirement as well as solid Management experience. To be a qualified candidate, a person should also have the technical skills of a Mainframe DBA, such as performance tuning, capacity management, etc, etc. Management experience alone is not enough . . . the technical expertise must also be there ! Candidates must have at least 10 years of experience working with large Databases and should be used to being in an environment that is active on a 24/7 basis. DB2 Experience is an absolute "must have" and IDMS exposure is a real plus.
REQUIREMENTS
Four year degree
Hands-on DB2 technical skills
Management experience with budget, forecasting, hiring and firing responsibilities.
