MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST

GLADES GENERAL HOSPITAL IS LOOKING FOR MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST.

Performs and interprets diagnostic in all areas if the Clinical Laboratory-Chemistry, Hematology, Immunohematology, Serology/Immunology and Microbiology. Maintains daily quality control and preventative maintenance records. Assists in the orientation of new employees. When necessary, assists the Laboratory Director with troubleshooting of procedures. Responsibility encompasses provision of care of patients from birth to geriatric age. May be required to perform phlebotomy. Will readily crosstrain to other job descriptions and float to other departments as deemed necessary by the Laboratory Director to meet the needs of the laboratory and the Hospital.
REQUIREMENTS


Must be licensed by the State of Florida as a Medical Technologist in 4-5 lab areas and registered by a national agency: ASCP, NCA, or AMT. Minimum 1 year experience as MT in a hospital Clinical Laboratory. Work well with others and great teamplayer.
