The University completed a $476 million fundraising campaign two years ago and has launched the “silent phase” of a new campaign. The planning goal of this comprehensive, seven-year drive is $800 million.Position: The Advancement Services Department provides technical and fundraising support relating to the alumni development information software for the University System of Maryland. The Manager of User Services provides application support related to the user of the BSR Advance. This position reports to the Director of Advancement Services. The Manager develops training curriculums and plans, and provides training and documentation with a business focus. The Manager of User Services will:•Design and conduct training programs for all levels of users
•Assist in documenting the business processes at each institution
•Provide help desk support and maintain standards for documentation
•Be responsible for testing changes made to the BSR Advance system and incorporating those changes into the on-line help system
•Maintain user access to software
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required; trainer certification or experience preferred. The candidate must possess at least three years experience with training end users or advanced application systems. Help-desk/Call center experience preferred but not required. Detailed-orientated trainer with the ability to comprehend and communicate clearly. Fluency with desktop applications such as Word, Excel, Access and Powerpoint. Troubleshooting abilities in order to diagnose and correct application problems. Must be a team player and able to work independently.
