Job Description:
Position Purpose
Candidate will manage all aspects of HD Supply’s Internet as well as coordinate e-commerce strategy with HD Supply initiatives. The position will also develop strategic business relationships with functional and business partners. Includes: Strategic and tactical business planning, management and implementation of initiatives supporting the sales and marketing function, analysis of customer response to e-commerce programs by market, and formulating and financially justifying new web project plans to meet company objectives.
Work directly with partners in the evaluation, design, development and implementation of web-based electronic business solutions.


Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

Set strategic direction and develop business plan to drive e-commerce.

Work jointly with IT Infrastructure organization to develop and implement overall web site architecture and strategy.

Research and introduce new web technologies and tools.

Develop and maintain relationships with strategic partners.

Lead the integration of brand and e-commerce marketing with other sales channels to drive sales on the web.

Develop calendar of online events and manage the integration of the e-commerce calendar with the other channels.

Develop a strong understanding of the habits and practices of shopping online as well as the purchase drives for HD Supply’s products.

Report regularly on the status of all on-going programs, analyze and measure effectiveness of on-line programs, and set up and manage testing and valuation of all new programs.

Maintain and analyze the log system for tracking site traffic.

Work with industry management and marketing to develop plans geared towards maximizing traffic.

Continuous monitoring of competition and e-commerce strategy.

Work as part of a team supporting both corporate positioning as well as product-specific marketing communications needs on the web. This includes maintaining and updating content on the site, creating web programs to improve the effectiveness of our marketing efforts and administering the day-to-day upkeep and operation of the site.


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies

Experience in E-Commerce Management.

Knowledge of the latest Internet technology.

Understanding of marketing techniques/objectives and knowledge of database management.

Strong customer interaction and interpersonal skills.

Physical Job Requirements
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.


Education Required
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's Degree program or equivalent Degree in a field of study related to the job.


Years of Relevant Work Experience - 5
Preferred Qualifications

Strong leadership and management experience with technical teams including company associates as well as on-shore and off-shore contractors.

Experience working with cross-functional teams and geographically disbursed teams.

Experience working within global and enterprise environments is desirable.

Customer focussed.

Strong experience using web based technologies such as JAVA; J2EE; VB; .NET; XML; WEBSPHERE and WEB SERVICES.

Experience creating and managing Internet initiatives including e-Commerce.

Ability to develop and implement short and long range strategies that support the Internet objectives of the company.

Ability to review and analyze statistical data, draw conclusions and make recommendations.

Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization as well as vendor and customer representatives. This includes verbal written and excellent presentation skills.

Ability to develop, lead and motivate a team of associates towards the completion of goals.

Ability to develop plans and schedules to successfully complete assignments on time.

Strong team player with initiative and strong problem solving skills.

Must work very closely and effectively in team environment and have the ability to work independently.

Must possess strong analytical and organizational skills.

Minimum Qualifications
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
