Lotus Notes Developer

Purpose: Lotus Notes Developer A large international leading provider of construction services is seeking an experienced Lotus Notes Developer in their Bethesda MD HQ. This position includes maintaining existing Notes applications, defining user requirements for developing new WEB based applications, extensive interaction with users and the development and implementation of data integrations between Notes and other applications. Additionally, this position works closely with the Notes administrator to provide e-mail support for 1500 users nationwide. Ideal candidates will have a related technical degree and @ least 5 years Lotus Notes application development experience. This is a 6 month contract assignment which gets converted to perm directly after a successful contract. This client offers a competitive compensation and benefits package; prior to this the candidate would be a W-2 consultant of TEKsystems.



Job Requirements:

Candidate must have experience and in-depth knowledge of Lotus Notes client, design and web implementation in R5 and R6 (they are currently running R6). Administrative knowledge of Lotus Notes/Domino environment for large number of users and databases; experience in developing policies and procedures related to Domino, software configuration management, Lotus NNotes security features and Lotus Notes/Domino administrative process.



Technical Skills~ Application Development experience in Lotus Notes R5 and R6, Notes Script and Java. Use standard programming practices.

The Certification in Lotus Notes Domino (PCLP in development) is a definite advantage

AS/400 knowledge is a PLUS, but they will train.



Non-Technical skills~ Possess Oral and written communication skills. Adheres to strict confidentiality rules. Project Management skills including determining project validity, scope and creating SOW including schedule showing milestones. MUST work well with the 3 person team, but be able to the sole Lotus Notes developer. In addition work well with the rest of the IT team. Must assume mentoring role to fellow Notes team and HelpDesk for escalated Notes issues.
