Lead Technical Consultant (J2EE Focused)

Responsibilities: This individual will be responsible for leading professional services engagements, ranging from scoping and requirements gathering, to customizations of core product offerings, to implementation of solutions within customer's operating environment. This individual will be responsible for driving the execution of an engagement through the entire project lifecycle. Responsibilities: Maintain architectural-level technical knowledge of our client's software and systems. Perform software design, development, and testing as required. Mentor and train employees on tools, techniques, technologies, and methodologies appropriate for the job. Develop, document, and track professional development plans for employees. Participate, with department manager, in screening, interviewing, and hiring new employees and contractors. Participate in design and architecture sessions with customer to define solutions to customer's business problems. Drive the translation of solution architecture into detailed requirements. Construct scoping documents, requirements documents, and detailed estimates as needed to define the nature of the engagement. Work with other consultants and external customers to meet project milestones and obtain customer approval of deliverables. Work closely with project team to assign tasks and closely track progress against a work plan. Work proactively to resolve issues and manage risks. Oversee the quality of the work being delivered. Ensure that what is being produced meets the agreed-upon quality standards. Work proactively to identify and address deficiencies. Coordinate the development, testing, and release of software patches with implementer(s), tester(s), and hosting provider. Review all patches and releases for proper testing and documentation prior to production deployment.
