Lead .NET Software Developer
New Directions Data Group furnishes a full range of solutions in the Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse and the Microsoft-centric Applications Development areas of information technology.
We seek to optimize a company's business performance and competitiveness by providing subject matter experts who augment the successful implementation of business critical corporate information and data projects.
We are currently with a highly noted eCommerce client who is seeking a Lead .NET Software Developer on a full time direct basis.
The Lead Developer will be responsible for leading the development efforts of two large web applications and 2 small windows applications.
Responsibilities will include managing a team of internal and external developers, doing development, ensuring timely release of each project, perform code review, assess technical problems and drive the team in execution of the solution to these problems.
The individual will also be charged with meeting with the business community and other IT teams on various projects.
Additionally, the individual will be responsible for leading efforts in support of existing web-based and windows applications for the customer relations side of IT utilizing Microsoft technology that will include IVR and telecom systems.
The Lead .NET Software Developer will develop new application tools and functionalities as needed, convert Classic ASP code to ASP.NET, utilize VB.NET and or C#, Visual Studio.NET in a SQL Server environment, Visual SourceSafe, Visio and participate in peer reviews and code improvement updates.
The appropriate individuals must have experience with web and or windows development and project/lead management in an ASP.NET, ASP, SQL environment that includes: C# or VB.NET, Visual Studio.NET, IIS, UML, RUP and Visual Source Safe. Experience with XML, and XSLT environment s, CRM, IVR, telecom are highly desired.
