They are viewed as data subject-matter experts and provide recommendations to project team members and less experienced data analysts on data and object architecture directions.Data Analysts ensure reuse of existing data. They troubleshoot and resolve table and/or component interfacing issues. With a high degree of proficiency and consistent quality, Data Analysts analyze business requirements and gather data requirements to build complex conceptual and logical data models that include n-ary relationships abstractions, and generalizations.They use group facilitation and other advanced interviewing techniques to gather data requirements and perform complex impact analysis. Data Analysts thoroughly understand the companys business, industry, and their assigned products, and products data architectures. Data Analysts may perform and facilitate data warehouse analysis and perform dimensional data warehouse design and modeling. They restructure data for conversions to a database management system.They perform reverse engineering to analyze data of existing applications. They research, recommend, and promote data modeling standards (e.g., modeling conventions, naming standards, domain definition, etc.). They analyze and design meta data.Qualifications
