Lead Applications Programmer

Unit Description: Sodexho is seeking a Lead Applications Programmer to work in within IS&T department in Gaithersburg, Maryland. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining assigned information systems to ensure efficient systems integration and operation, as well as applying and expanding client business knowledge in solving business problems to meet the needs of clients. Responsibilities also include: maintenance, administration, design enhancements and development of stored procedures and triggers for Entegra’s Membership Database; Managing user maintenance and setup for membership database; Creating an distributing advanced reporting for senior management and clients; implementing software development lifecycle practices to include requirements analysis, project management, release engineering, configuration management, and problem tracking and resolution. Best qualified candidate will have a Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science or MIS, 5 or more years of working experience, 2 or more years of working experience with .NET frameworks, 5 or more years working experience with SQL Server (construct complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers and DTS packages) and 1or more years working experience with Oracle. Best qualified candidate will also have experience developing and supporting web based applications (ASP, JavaScript, VBScript, ASP.NET…) and client server applications (VB.NET, C#.NET, VBA, ADO, ADO.NET, VB6…)Position Summary:
Under general direction, devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents those programs. Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications programming activities.Typical Knowledge and SkillsTypical Education
