Lead Applications Developer - ACE
Employment Type: Regular Full/Part Time: Full Time Division: IT Location: FIFTH THIRD CENTER, CINCINNATI, OHGENERAL FUNCTION: Looking for a talented J2EE professional to assist with architecture, design and development activities. The primary responsibility of this role will be to provide technical leadership for a J2EE WebSphere intranet web application product. Will work on mission critical platforms that support users in call centers, banking centers and back office staff throughout the entire corporation. Solutions will be implemented using a wide potential of server and client technologies including EJB, WebServices, SOAP, JMS/MQ, JCA, JDBC, Struts, JSF, Ajax, et al. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead proof of concept implementations for new system integrations and new technologies.
Participate in prototyping, design, implementation, QA phases of project lifecycle.
Provide leadership on technical issue resolution and project delivery.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our software development process, tools and best practices.
Provide team leadership through mentoring, collaboration and development activities.
Author technical documentation, APIs and UML.
Other duties as required. Job RequirementsMINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science/Info Systems or equivalent experience.
5 or more years of application programming/development experience.
Solid communication skills and ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
Must be highly proficient with J2SE API.
Breadth of knowledge on open source offerings and industry trends a plus.
Should have a sound understanding of OO principles and design patterns.
Should have a sound understanding of n-tier, distributed application architectures.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem resolution skills.
Experience with EJB, JMS, WebServices, JDBC, Servlets, Struts, JSP required.
Experience with WebSphere, MQ, JCA, RAD IDE, Unix preferred.
Experience with webMethods, FileNet, Apache, JSF, Ajax a plus.
Experience with designing intranet solutions for financial applications a plus. E.O.E., M/F/D/V
