Lead Applications Developer

Employment Type: Regular Full/Part Time: Full Time Division: IT Location: FIFTH THIRD CENTER, CINCINNATI, OHGENERAL FUNCTION:Designs and develops cost-effective information technology solutions within the Enterprise Business Intelligence area. Coordinates with users to determine requirements. Performs detailed analysis of business process to define/create data architecture requirements. Codes, tests, debugs, documents, and implements complex software applications. Will coordinate and may lead activities of a project team and assist in monitoring project schedules and costs. The position is on the Technical/Professional ladder at level 4 in the Applications Development discipline.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Provide leadership and support toward developing and delivering strategic reporting solutions to business units throughout the Bancorp. This position requires building strategic partnerships with business units, understanding business unit requirements, and translating those requirements into solutions either by personally developing the deliverable or serving as a liaison between the business unit and the application developer.
2. Designs, codes, tests and implements application programs in accordance with client specifications.
3. Coordinates project resources for application projects with moderate complexity.
4. Works with business partners and Support organization to complete successful rollout, implementation, and adoption of Business Intelligence solutions.
5. Ensures Data Management projects follow proscribed development life cycle and meet quality standards.
6. Interprets business requirements and identifies solutions to meet business objectives.
7. Demonstrates proven knowledge in one or more Business Intelligence applications or systems.
8. Analyzes Business Intelligence and/or ETL systems and programming logic problems and, where necessary, revises logic and procedures.
9. Acts as IT Finance liaison with corporate Enterprise Data Warehouse team.
10. Keeps current with Business Intelligence, data modeling, and data warehousing trends and technical innovations in the banking and IT industry, and makes appropriate development recommendations.
11. Other duties as required. Job RequirementsMINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:Undergraduate degree in computer-related field, with 6-8 years of experience.Experience with Business Intelligence tools and platforms, specifically Hyperion software and Business Objects
Financial Services Industry experience (Oracle Financial Services Application (OFSA) experience a plus)
Experience with ETL products (Ascential tool suite a plus)
Experience with Relational Databases (Oracle and SQL-Server) and proficiency with SQL
Experience with OLAP and reporting tools (Essbase and Business Objects a plus) E.O.E., M/F/D/V
