Lead Application Engineer

Purpose: TEKsystems has a client in Louisville seeking a consultant to add to their staff. This position is a direct placement and the company is located in Louisville. Candidates must be able to pass an extensive background check. Benefits include health, 401K, vacation, personal, vision and some relocation.

- Experienced leadership role in managing a development team.
- Understanding of OLTP (Online Transaction Processing)
- Application development experience with client server environments.
- Provide technical and professional assistance to other ARC staff members.
- Guide team members in maintaining technical requirements and system documentation.
- Ability to work within a team and matrix environment.
- Ability to develop and adhere to coding standards.
- Ability to gather requirements and develop business rules and write detail specifications.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrate team leadership skills such as mentoring, resource planning and collaboration. (Required)
- Experience leading the efforts of technical developers (Required)
- Must be willing to accept, abide by, and demonstrate ARC?s Corporate Values; Integrity, Teamwork, Innovation, Cost Effectiveness and Excellence. (Required)
- Ability to work with data modelers/QA team (Required)
- Experience with methodologies and system development life cycle (Required)
- Experience with Distributed Oracle 9i (Desired)
- Experience with Distributed Oracle 8.17 (Required)
- Analytical skills & proficiency developing business rules (Required)
- Current expertise with object oriented design methodology and UML modeling, to include experience with UML Class and Sequence diagramming to elaborate on use-case and activity diagrams. (Desired)
- Current expertise with using Struts, Spring 1.x and using/applying design patterns (Desired)
- JAVA design and implementation for at least 5 years (Desired)
- Minimum of 5 years of application programming development experience in design and construction utilizing J2EE and Enterprise Java Beans. Highly knowledgeable in all components and their life cycles. (Desired)
