Responsible for the acquisition, installation, maintenance and usage of all company’s local area networks providing the necessary standards and policies to ensure their conformance to the corporate standards and procedures for access and usage.Establishes and implements policies, procedures and standards to ensure overall network reliability. Failure of network has potential to disrupt all GET processing.Manages Intel Server performance. Assures reliable network in terms of responsiveness to user demands.Ensures proper backup and disaster recovery systems are in place.Ensures that security procedures are implemented and enforced. In conjunction with security office, provide required information security.Evaluates and presents business justification to management all vendor products which best meet the company’s needs. Provides for enhanced performance of networked systems.Installs and manages all network software and hardware. Provides expedient and trouble free installations.Provides necessary trouble-shooting skills, maintaining 99% network reliability.Assists in overall support of the company’s telecommunications network. Maintain continuity between LAN and WAN networks.Directs personnel as assigned. Provide technical mentoring to assure quality networks.Assures efficiency of application performance through proper allocation of system resources. Enforces disciplines required of application software, both developed and purchased.Keeps abreast of the current development in the networking field through reading, attending seminars, and participation in technical organizations.Evaluates desktop software to set company standards.Other duties are required.
REQUIREMENTS
BS in computer science or related discipline.
Minimum 2 years experience in microcomputer development
Minimum 1 year being directly involved in Intel server networking
MCSE-Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
