PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) develops and manages its knowledge assets development through an array of industry and technical subject fields called Knowledge Domains. The Knowledge Domain Manager is a leadership role assigned to one or more Knowledge Domains. The position resides within Domain Management, an operational unit of the PwC Knowledge Services Organization (KSO), located in Tampa, Florida. The strategic vision of the KSO is to support PwC’s aspiration to be the preeminent knowledge-based professional services firm.Knowledge Domain Managers work across all lines of service within the Firm (Assurance, Tax, and Advisory) and with leadership across the relevant industry or technical Knowledge Domains. Primary responsibilities include managing the knowledge assets assigned to the Knowledge Domain and driving the creation of new knowledge objects (white papers, position papers, journal articles, research analyses, methodologies, analyst reports, and other publication types) aligned with current client issues and the annual knowledge management strategic plan.The Knowledge Domain Manager leads the development of an annual "Domain Knowledge Agenda", which is the strategic and tactical development plan approved by the Firm businesses within the Knowledge Domain. The Knowledge Domain Manager facilitates and coordinates the identification of strategic priorities that justify knowledge generation within the Knowledge Domain. The Knowledge Domain Manager must be able to work closely with the practice, lines of service, regional leadership, and other KSO units. They will work to understand and map current client issues, help Firm businesses win new work, and measure the return on investment for the Firm’s knowledge assets. The Knowledge Domain Manager champions the authorship and knowledge sharing culture within the Firm.A Knowledge Domain Manager is a self-starter, self-educator, keen observer, and diplomat who actively identifies trends and emerging issues within industries and markets that affect the Domain. The ideal candidate will be an experienced practitioner in the Knowledge Domain with a requisite level of market and/or industry subject-matter expertise.Key activities include:
Surveying/interviewing leadership, senior partners, subject matter experts, strategic marketing, and other functions where applicable to understand "top-of-mind" client issues requiring new knowledge development; Managing domain knowledge development projects and initiatives; Creating and implementing work plans, while coordinating resources across functions; Defining and managing Domain economics in terms of research costs, opportunity costs, and people costs; and Developing and reporting selected Domain performance metrics.
This role will have primary reporting responsibility to the Cross-Domain Leader and the Partner owner of the Domain. Knowledge Domain managers work with a Domain Administrator to assist in checking for duplication of efforts and sharing of best practices.

Education Requirement:
Bachelor's or Advanced College Degree, experience in professional services preferredEssential Requirements:
Seasoned professional with 6-10 years strategic marketing and planning, intellectual assets, brand management and/or knowledge management experience Strong project management and organization skills Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a time constrained environment Demonstrated track record of successful interactions with senior leaders Creative, visioning thinker with demonstrated ability to network, influence decisions while working autonomously Excellent written and oral communication skills Effective negotiation and problem solving skills
