Knowledge Management-Web and Database Supervisor

The Knowledge Management Supervisor provides leadership to the Knowledge Management team.


The Web and Database Supervisor provides leadership to the Web and Database Team. The incumbent will direct the Team to meet the needs of patients, physicians, and staff by planning and directing all aspects of database or system integration/interface, data querying, and knowledge dissemination.

Plans and directs all aspects of intranet and internet web page design and functionality. Ensures appropriate staffing and productivity levels, develops/monitors performance and productivity improvement, safety, quality and regulatory standards. Ensures excellence in customer service and achievement of budgetary goals; manages continuous improvement of section's processes and functions. Directs fiscal management of the section, including forecasting and monitoring of operating performance. Identifies and implements strategies to reduce costs and improve quality of service. Directs the management of section's human resources and employee relations.

Accountable for on-going training and professional development of staff. Accountable for adherence to state and federal rules and regulations; ensures compliance with JCAHO, federal, state and local agencies. Performs other related duties as required. Reports to the Director, Information Systems.
REQUIREMENTS
Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in related field , Web programming language certification

Education Preferred: Web, database or programming language certifications. Master's Degree in related field.

Experience Required: 4 years in web-related role, 2 years in related supervisory role. In-depth appreciation of the capabilities and limitations of information technology. The ability to manage knowledge and information via databases, collaborative technologies and web-based services. Understanding of knowledge processes such as organizational learning and development. Experience managing teams and budgets. Strong project management or application development methodology skills

Experience Preferred: Healthcare-related experience
