Java developer
Purpose: Systems Analyst II: Java Programmer - The preferred candidate will support NCID's Division of Healthcare and Quality Promotion (DHQP) by developing various web-based systems on a J2EE platform. Development responsibilities will include working with the customer to determine functionality needs, development and potential prototyping, documentation, interfacing with other development efforts, testing, and implementation.
Required Skills:
Mid to senior level experience with HTML, JSP, Servlets, Java Script, Struts, Tiles, Java, Jbuilder, and UML. Must have 3 or more years of experience and be able to provide code samples from programming work.
Experience with SQL, Win2K server, and J2EE
Experience working in a collaborative, team, environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Additional Desired Skills/Pluses:
Exposure to or experience with DHTML, XML, Weblogic, Log4j, OOAD, Design Patterns, Rational Unified Process, Requirements Analysis.
Experience working in a environment where change management practices are employed, and hands-on experience with a change management solution such as PVCS or an equivalent.
Strong attention to detail.
Experience working in the public health field.
Educational Requirements:
BS/BA required, MS/MA desired, [Major: Computer Science or related]
6 + Years of experience in lieu of degree
