Java Developer

Our client has an immediate need for two mid-level Java developers in Rosslyn, Virginia. This is a permanent full time consulting position. Salary is expected to be in the 80-90K range. Send resumes to [Click here for email] for immediate consideration.

DUTIES:

*Architect, design, code, and implement highly scalable and reliable web applications using Java technologies.
*Develop and deploy applications for various application servers including JBoss, WebLogic.
*Provide development estimates outlining business and technical risks.
*Identify and significantly contribute, where appropriate, to Enterprise initiatives.
*Provide technical and business explanation and justification for an architectural, design, and coding approaches.
*Contribute advanced web services through the development of web technologies that include HTML, JSP, Struts, Javascript and EJB.
*Provide solutions that incorporate standard data formats exchanges based on XML.
*Perform and actively participate in formal requirement, design, and code reviews.
*Mentor team members as needed. Provide performance review feedback on development team members.
*Provide thorough, automated test harnesses for developed solutions.


B. Qualifications
*4 years providing architecture solutions for large scale, distributed system using both Java and Windows based technologies.
*4 years of full life cycle development with an emphasis on incremental, iterative development and deployment.
*4 years of development experience with high-level languages and modern development tools including Java (EJB, Servlets, and JSP), C, Microsoft C++. .Net is a plus. Development with Oracle IAS and JBoss a plus.
*5 years of development experience on SQL databases and XML.
*5 years of web development experience including HTML, scripting languages, and web servers.
*5 years of formal Object Oriented design and development using standard UML notation and associated tools in an incremental, iterative process.
*Comfortable in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
*Strong written and verbal skills from both business and technical perspectives.
*BSCS or equivalent
REQUIREMENTS
C. EXPERIENCE: Experience with large scale systems implementation and object oriented development using (C++, or Java), and XSLT and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). Design and development experience on actual J2EE projects with integration with 3rd party applications is a must. Use of LDAP, PKI and ASN.1/BER is a plus. Quality Assurance and independent validation and verification experience and knowledge of CMM standards. Minimum of 4 to 8 years of proven experience and a college degree a must.
