J2EE Developer/Lead Programmer Analyst

The Technology Solutions Unit (TSU) within Freddie Mac Operations and Technology (FMOT) focuses on buy-and-integrate philosophy to improve the delivery of new systems capabilities while reducing initiative costs. The TSU, based out of Schaumburg, IL, is aligned within business information services (BIS) organizations to maintain continuity with business and provides BIS organizations with additional delivery capacity. TSU prides in timely and cost effective delivery by focusing on Quality and utilizing industry best practices. TSU is expected to be 300 employees strong by the end of 2007.
Responsibilities of the Programmer Analyst - Lead:
•Provide full life cycle support to new processes and systems to meet the needs of strategic initiatives, and integrate these processes and systems into existing applications.
•Utilize technical skills to design, develop and test technical solutions to business problems.
•Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers and consultants to ensure all ADRM standards and procedures are met for a variety of complex applications.
•Provide senior level analytical and problem solving skills when addressing and resolving issues, assessing possible systems impacts, and recommending technical solutions.
•Contribute to development standards, component level design, integration testing, system test, performance test and UAT.
•Develop to the detailed design and unit test at component level.
•Providing code fixes for defects that are identified by QA.
•Participate in testing use cases and design reviews.

REQUIREMENTS
Experience & Education Requirements:
•3-5 years Java/J2EE web development experience, specialized training or certification in appropriate technologies (Web Development, XML, Unix, etc) and one or more Front End Business Intelligence Applications.
•Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills may be acquired, and specialized training or certification in appropriate technologies (Web development, Lotus Notes, Java, Sybase, DBMS, Internet, SQL, etc.)
Required Technical Skills:
•J2EE Web Developer:
Servlet, EJB, JSP, XML, UML, JDBC
Frameworks: Struts, Spring, JUNIT
•Object Oriented Analysis, Design and Development experience required.
•Databases: DB2, Oracle
•Experience with Eclipse.
•Exposure to SOA a plus.
•Experience to Enterprise Wide web tools such as Weblogic, Webmethods or Websphere a plus
•Experience with interpreting class/sequence (UML) design specs
•Some RUP experience a plus, particularly in the construction phase
•Experience working in a medium to large project environment.
•Team player, work in a collaborative environment
•Tools: Rational Rose, Eclipse
•Unix Platform experience.
•Java/J2EE certification a plus.
