CDI has an Immediate Need for a Internet Security Analyst
WORK HISTORY AND EXPERIENCE:

• 3+ years in IT with broad exposure to IT analysis, metrics and processes
• 1+ years experience in information and systems security
• Experience in security methods and tools
• Familiarity with multi-platform environments and their operational/security considerations
• Experience with security and business analysis
• Experience with report analysis and metrics creation
• Recent work on projects involving security assurance to include:
• IT security
• Antivirus
• Host-based Intrusion Detection (HID)
• Host-based Intrusion Protection (HIP)
• Patch deployment/reporting tools

SPECIFIC SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Security Business Analysis skills.
• Ability to correlate security information from multiple sources, make recommendations, and remediate issues.
• Ability to develop, create and communicate security related business metrics.
• High skill level using analysis and communication tools including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other reporting tools.
• Strong team player that provides direction and drives the team

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Beyond above noted skills, must have strong experience with large IT projects.
• Required to have strong analytical & tactical skills to manage risk and creatively develop contingency plans.
• Must be process-oriented and have excellent written/verbal communication skills and ability to present complex ideas to a diverse audience.
• Strong facilitation skills.
• The ability to learn quickly and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Proven track record of risk assessment, problem identification, analytical problem solving, and issue resolution in global environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for production operations information security analysis.
• Responsible for monitoring and correlating asset level security information across the enterprise.
• Serve as a security analysis lead and main point of contact for the security operations team to analyze the information security environment and serve as a problem solver where issues exist.
• Take security information from different sources including Host-Based Intrusion Protection (HIPs), Anti-Virus, and security patch systems; analyze and correlate information; make recommendations for risk remediation; lead and track remediation to completion.
• Review and update security related business rules; make recommendation; lead and track changes.
• Develop, document and communication production operation processes.
• Develop, document and communication ongoing trend and business analysis of enterprise security environment.
• Develop, document and communication security incident recommendations, actions, and remediation efforts.
• Participate in providing 24 x 7 support of security in production systems as necessary to proactively protect the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information of the company.
• Lead investigations of security exposures and gaps in current security status.
• Assist team in understanding and responding to security audit items.
• Perform analytical problem solving for end-to-end production operations processes and devise workable solutions.
• Provide technical expertise to guide the administration of security tools and processes.
• Work to ensure that the security of enterprise devices is kept within an acceptable level of risk.
• Proactively reviewing security measures to safeguard information and systems against attack or unauthorized access.
• Develop disaster recovery plans and processes to ensure contingency exists to ensure continued security protection.
• In this position, the successful candidate is also responsible for coordinating with the development teams to ensure the successful migration of new security products into production.
• Partnering with team resources and strategic partners to validate deployment plans and raise awareness of any implications to existing security software or devices.
• Provide recommendations regarding upgrades, repairs, modifications, or replacements of information security devices or software.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

• Undergraduate degree is a requirement (Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related discipline)
• Graduate level degree preferred
• Information Security training
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification desirable
