CDI has an Immediate Need for a Internal Product Support
Job Description:
Responsible for support and migration of RRMAS suite of applications. This position will work closely with QA as a liaison between development and services to resolve issues and provide a high quality product for internal and external customers.Responsibilities:• Provide first line support for RRMAS suite of applications
• Manage change requests that cannot be answered immediately, including communicating statuses to account managers
• Manage code migration through all phases of development, including developing tools necessary to facilitate migration
• Manage setup and installation functions that can be provided to services groupTechnical skills:• Solid understanding of Linux/Unix environments, specifically Red Hat and AIX, comfortable operating in a command line environment• Ability to use vi• Experience using CVS or a similar source control system (ie Subversion, Perforce, etc) - knowledge of concepts such as branching, merging, tagging, etc.• Familiarity with the Java language - programming experience in Java is not necessary though• Familiarity with web application servers - preferably at least Apache Tomcat• Familiarity with relational databases - preferably Oracle (8i or higher) with experience using SQL+, ability to understand PL/SQLVery nice to have skills, but not necessarily requirements:• Knowledge of Cygwin• Knowledge of WinCVS• Knowledge of Netweaver from an administrative standpoint• Knowledge of various JMS providers, JMS queues and Oracle queues (JBoss, for example)• Ability to write shell scripts in either Bash or C Shell• Experience with Apache Ant• Perl programming skillsNon-technical skills:• Able to work independently• Able to think critically/good problem-solving skills• Able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment• Able to work well under pressure• Diplomatic - there is a lot of interfacing with both QA and Development, both of which often have opposing viewpoints
