Integration Center Technician

Emerson Climate Technologies™, a business of Emerson, is the world's leading provider of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration solutions for residential, industrial and commercial applications.This position will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, programming and installing all electromechanical equipment for the Integration Center. In addition, this position will be responsible for understanding and troubleshooting refrigeration systems and software so as to perform refrigeration system performance analysis using customized software.
Duties and Responsibilities:*Build, troubleshoot, repair, and program complex electro-mechanical equipment and electrical systems; ie. E2 controller and all associated products.*Check calibration on various lab equipment, such as thermocouples, current transformers, etc., to assure that equipment is providing accurate test readings.*The repair of electrical problems throughout Integration Center.*Translate project requirements from engineers, supervisors, or lab manager to parts requirements, schedules, and price lists for ordering to meet deadlines.*As necessary, rewire, re-plumb, and/or remanufacture lab test equipment to meet new requirements such as different voltage, new applications, and modernization.*Complete all associated project reports, (test forms, maintenance histories, and analysis documents) both hand written and computer spreadsheet in a neat, accurate and timely manner.*Maintain good housekeeping practices of personal work station as well as the Laboratory in general to insure accurate assembly of delicate instrumentation and prototype equipment used in the Integration Center.*Responsible for ordering and maintaining lab supplies as well as researching and working with manufactures and OEM to purchase replacement parts for all the Integration Facility equipment

Skills and Educational Requirements*Must have a minimum of an Associate Degree or equivalent plus at least five years related experience.*Must have intermediate math skills including computing decimals, fractions, metric conversions, basic algebra, and geometry.*Must have demonstrated mechanical skills and experience with hand flaring, brazing, welding tools, hand tools, pneumatic and electric tools.*Preferred to have demonstrated a comprehensive knowledge of related electrical components and schematics and skills to troubleshoot electrical circuits employed in the Integration Center.*Must have a basic understanding of personal computers.*Must have good verbal and written skills.*Preferred to have demonstrated proficiency, in the assembly and inspection of all Emerson Climate Technologies product lines.*Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position which includes standing for ex¬tended periods of time; lifting of 20 to 80 pounds; ability to detect unusual visual and sound characteristics of compressors and case being tested; ability to maneuver throughout the Facility
