Information Technology Mgr. - Intern'l Application Team (06026)
POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for the IT management of activities in support of the International organization. This includes applications with interfaces to core operational systems, as well as stand-alone and third party software.
The position provides:
•Management, mentoring and work direction to Information Technology resources including project and technical leads, business analysts, and developers
•Scheduling, assignment, and review of project work throughout the project life cycle
•Project timeliness, cost management and quality
•Produce and/or manage project plans and status reports to business and information technology management
•Manage the analysis of business requirements, design, development and implementation of new systems, in addition to the support and enhancement of existing systems
•Ensuring application development work is performed consistent with business priorities
•Primary point of contact to effectively manage the business relationships for the assigned applications
•Collaborates with peer managers within the Information Technology department, in order to coordinate enterprise-wide integration requirements and insure an appropriate level of production support
•Partner with business management to define the appropriate technical solutions and keep them informed of enhancement/project progress
•Maintain an informed and cooperative relationship with the third party vendors
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Over ten years of experience in information technology
•Five years of demonstrated success at the delivery of Information Technology solutions of medium to large size and complexity in a manner consistent with the approach described in the job description
•Familiarity with object-oriented software analysis, design and development practices
•Able to demonstrate previous experience in establishing and utilizing measurements, processes, and metrics
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
•Success at building and maintaining efficient and effective teams
•Excellent organizational, leadership, facilitation, problem solving, and decision-making skills
•Experience in negotiating contracts and establishing service level agreements
•Proactive, accountable, autonomous, and solutions oriented
•Experience at leading teams with responsibility for International applications is highly desirable
Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required:
Education Required:
Undergraduate degree in business administration, computer science, related field or equivalent work experience. MBA or graduate degree in software development/computer science preferred.
