Information Technology Director

Lower Makefield Township is seeking a Technology Director to be responsible for all aspects of the Township’s IT department.

Responsibilities include:

The ideal candidate should be capable of working as a Network Administrator, Systems Administrator, Webmaster, Help Desk, Computer Technician, & Systems/Business Analyst.



Network/Systems Administration:

Maintain a secure, virus free network.

Maintain backups and disaster recovery plan.

Build, Upgrade & Repair Computer, Laptops & Servers

Install Peripheral Equipment

Telephone System Maintenance

Network Upgrades and repairs

Software installation and upgrades



Webmaster:

Maintain, upgrade and develop the Township website.

Setup new websites as needed for Township organizations.

Answer questions for website users.



Help Desk:

Answer Employees questions.

Respond to employee technology problems.

Provide support & light training on use of new programs and equipment



Systems Analyst:

Maintain and Prepare department Budget

Research and Purchase equipment

Establishing long term goals and objectives

Analyze current system functions and recommend ways to enhance

Develop spreadsheets, programs, reports to accelerate employee tasks

Observe Employees and recommend technology to improve work flow.
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of Windows Server, Exchange Server, Unix, Windows XP, Dreamweaver, Databases, Security, Antivirus Software, computer hardware, & telephone equipment helpful. More importantly, the successful candidate must be able to work independently to troubleshoot and identify problems, research and repair problems independently
