Daktronics is recognized worldwide as a leader in the large electronic display industry. The company designs, manufactures, sells, and services a variety of display products in three primary markets: sports, commercial, and transportation. This position will help align with the Commercial market business group. This is a new position in the Applications group of EIS. The Applications group is responsible for enterprise software applications that support business operations. This position will support the commercial market by gathering business requirements for systems, documenting business processes, and managing or participating in information systems project affecting commercial business. One project being discussed would involve working with commercial department business leaders to define their needs for an extranet to support customers and partners. Other projects might include documenting and identifying areas to improve processes or management of customer information in our ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system.



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Align with Commercial department to help them use, find, implement and change information systems in order to achieve their business goals.
2.Learn Daktronics commercial market processes well enough to identify possible projects and champion projects to completion.
3.Work with fellow EIS staff to learn about systems used, capabilities and opportunities to help the commercial market better use existing systems. This might include working to identify new systems to support commercial business.
4.Learn data management resources and tools to support their information needs. This will include meeting with many staff members across the commercial department to document and then communicate their information needs to our data management staff in EIS. Then follow through to ensure needs are met.
5.Document business processes using Microsoft Visio and Word.
6.Identify training needs and work with technical writing staff to develop appropriate training material. This might include training EIS Help Desk staff on particular issues to better support commercial staff.
7.Travel as need to learn and support use of information systems to meet business goals.
8.Work scheduled and unscheduled time as needed to effectively support the systems involved.
9.Perform other tasks or responsibilities as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
1.Bachelor’s degree, preferred degree in information systems, business or related technical field.
2.Demonstrated skills in both project management and documentation.
3.Demonstrated ability to quickly learn information technology.
4.Strong communication skills in a team environment both written and verbal. Documenting procedures and following change management practices.
5.Experience with providing technical support to users is a plus but not required.
