Responsibilities of the IS Infrastructure Project Manager:


Define, manage and implement a broad range of infrastructure system projects.
Completion of assigned projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines.
Define and manage project schedules, resources and delivery commitments.
Assemble and manage a matrixed team of architects, system design engineers, system build engineers and operational staff to successfully deliver significant infrastructure change in a large scale environment.
Must be familiar with systems scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member.
Manage project risks and issues.
Generally responsible for all work requirements on a major project(s).
Delegate, integrate activities and resolve conflicts.
Prepare project cost estimates.
Concurrently manage the infrastructure build-out on multiple corporate change initiatives.
Provide leadership in steering projects toward defined standard infrastructure solutions, platforms and best practices.
Ensure the infrastructure adheres to the requirements for availability, stability and efficiency.
Report regularly to business sponsors and senior technology management including executives.
Demonstrate leadership and judgment.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:
Relevant Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.


8 or more years of project or program management experiences.


8 years experience across multiple information systems disciplines.


Strong infrastructure technology experience and skills.


Demonstrated technical acumen.


Infrastructure project management experience at a Fortune 1000 company.


Experience in successfully managing a major project, which integrates multiple business areas or systems.
Experience with use of and adherence to structured methodology.
Ability to develop effective matrixed, cross-organization relationships.
Leadership ability.
Results orientation.
Capable of managing issues and workload in an independent fashion with minimal management oversight.
Strong communication (oral and written) skills.
Solid organizational and interpersonal skills.
Adaptable, self-starter, team player, quality-minded, focused, committed and able to work independently.
Proven success with fact-based decision making.
Able to stay committed to long-term project goals.
Able to direct project outcome based on long term business objectives.
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time on a per project basis.
