Works closely with sponsors, stakeholders, users, technical team leads, and management to coordinate project activities and provide support for core project management functions. Influences and implements project management methodologies and standards including
PMM, ASAP, and ITS PMO procedures. Configures, utilizes, and supports key project management tools. Detailed tasks include estimating, forecasting, planning, business analysis, requirements documentation, process modeling, issue / risk management, meeting facilitation, variance analysis, and reporting.
- 5-7+ years experience in a Project Management role including significant experience managing large and/or multiple projects
- Extensive experience with core PM tools including Microsoft Project Server, Microsoft Project 2003 Professional, Microsoft Sharepoint 2003, Windows Sharepoint Services 2.0, Microsoft Office 2003 Professional (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, Access, etc.), Mercury Test Director, and others
- Experience with design, implementation, and support of knowledge management solutions and related technologies for collaborative information sharing
- Demonstrated strong analytical and technical abilities and strong task management skills
- Ability to
manage multiple projects, assign and manage work activities, meet deadlines and develop project management reporting
- Experience producing and delivering communications to the executive level and experience auditing projects and summarizing results and producing management reports
- Strong oral and written communication skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team and independently
- Able to maintain a high degree of customer / client / sponsor satisfaction while also maintaining necessary project controls
