IT Sourcing-Sr. Category Mgr

As a Senior Consultant, Global IT Sourcing, you will develop and implement sourcing strategies, and negotiate hardware and service agreements in support of business and IS goals and requirements. This will include understanding strategic sourcing methodologies and tools, current/future enterprise demand, leading RFPs, and conducting cost/benefit analysis of supplier proposals. You will ensure that agreement terms and conditions adequately protect Wyeth legally, and provide flexibility in governing dynamic supplier relationships. You will secure aggressive, but fair, pricing from suppliers. For enterprise or high cost projects, you will present clear and concise recommendations to IS Executive Management for approval. You will develop and manage strategic supplier agreements and governance, and will facilitate regular communications between strategic supplies and key stakeholders to ensure alignment of Wyeth's strategic requirements with the supplier's strategic roadmap. You will maintain the relationship with the supplier's leadership, and monitor service levels. You will support the IT Sourcing Department on specific projects related to sourcing process improvements. This may include conducting presentations to key stakeholders or end users. You will ensure compliance with purchasing policies and procedures, ethical practices, and adherence to relevant laws and regulations.This position requires a Bachelor's degree in an IT, Business, or Technical discipline with 12 years IT general or relevant experience; MBA a plus. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in the strategic acquisition of IT products and services and possess a solid working knowledge of general IT management issues. Must have superior communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Also must have strong analytical and critical thinking skills and be able to develop and execute complex sourcing strategies. The candidate will be an experienced negotiator with demonstrable business acumen. Previous experience with negotiating large services or hardware contracts is considered a plus.
