IT Security Lead/Manager

Responsibilities: Kforce is seeking Manager IT Security Manager for a Cincinnati client. The Security Manager's role is to ensure the secure operation of our client's Enterprise technology and application infrastructure which includes application systems, messaging systems, internet and intranet, servers, and networks. Environment: Microsoft AD, BindView, BV/Admin, Cisco, Websense, Surf Control. Responsibilities: advise and oversee all security systems and their corresponding or associated software (firewalls, intrusion detection systems, cryptography systems, and anti-virus software), develop and implement as well as maintain and oversee enforcement (of security policies, procedures, and associated plans) for system security administration and user system access based on industry-standard Best Practices, develop policies and procedures (regarding end user accounts, permissions, and access rights), advise on and oversee connection security (for local area networks, the company Web site, the company intranet, and e-mail communications), ensure through policies and procedures the security of databases and data transferred internally and externally, design and perform and/or oversee penetration testing of all systems in order to identify system vulnerabilities, monitor (server logs, firewall logs, intrusion detection logs, and network traffic) for unusual or suspicious activity, interpret activity and make recommendations for resolution, recommend/schedule (where appropriate) and apply fixes and security patches (disaster recovery procedures and any other measures) required in the event of a security breach, assess need for any security reconfigurations (minor or significant) and execute them if required, keep current with emerging security alerts and issues, conduct research on emerging items (products, services, protocols, and standards) in support of security enhancement and development efforts.If you are not a local candidate but are relocating, please inform me of your arrangements (i.e., date and city/state you are relocating to).Kforce (NASDAQ: KFRC) is a full-service specialty staffing firm providing flexible and permanent staffing solutions for organizations and career management for individuals in the specialty skill areas of information technology, finance & accounting, human resources, engineering, pharmaceutical, health care and scientific.
