IT Security Analyst

Responsibilities:
Apply advanced level knowledge of Risk & Security Analysis and Audit knowledge across multiple Information Technology specialty areas.
Optimize planned results for entire complex, specialized, or critical work processes, projects or deliverables.
Ensure organization is compliant with applicable laws and protected from IT security risks by writing policies, assessing risk, planning controls and monitoring and auditing the computing environment.
Scans the external environment to keep current with regulatory changes and trends in IT security, including new and changing threats, and identifies the impact to Safeco’s current security policies and practices; understands security technology and how it interacts with Safeco’s computing environment.
Conducts risk analysis by identifying potential sources of risk or exposure; estimating the probability of the risk event occurring; assessing the impact to Safeco if the risk materializes; developing appropriate plans to mitigate or avoid the risk; Perform cost-benefit analysis to compare the cost of implementing the plans to the probability and impact of the risk; and developing a recommendation for implementing the plans or absorbing the risk


Qualifications:
CISA certification preferred
CISSP certification a plus
Excellent communication skills
Working knowledge of the Windows 2000 Operating System
Understanding of Windows 2000 network environment
TSO knowledge is a plus
Excellent Customer Service Skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
