IT Risk Analyst

Purpose: TEKsystems is seeking an IT Risk Analyst to work at the LDS Church that will conduct risk assessments of IT resources that include applications, technologies, and processing centers. He/she will work on a small risk management team with other risk analysts to organize and conduct risk assessment activities following a risk assessment methodology and processes.

The successful candidate needs to be able to effectively communicate with customers, management, engineers, and others regarding the need for and value of a risk assessment and to help them learn their roles and responsibilities in the implementation and maintenance of appropriate controls to mitigate significant risks. He/she needs to have an appreciation for the need to balance controls that are applied against potential impacts on business functionality and performance.

The successful candidate will, under the direction of management, use a variety of software tools to test the implementation of controls intended to reduce risks in order to evaluate their effectiveness.


Qualifications
--Must be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, currently temple worthy
--Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
--8-10 years experience in a core IT technology (e.g. software developer, network engineer, database engineer) where management of risk was part of the work experience
--Broad background in IT technologies, processes, standards, and best practices
--IT Security certification (CISSP, SSCP, MCSE: Security, Security+, etc.) preferred. Other technical certifications (MCSE, CCNP, CCIE, etc.) a plus
--If not already certified, must agree to obtain CISSP or other IT Security certification within an agreed upon timeframe (6-12 months) after hire
--Demonstrated small, self-directed team player; a self-starter who does not require close supervision
--Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, analyze, and communicate complex issues and concerns to technical and non-technical management and workers
