The IT Development Services Functional Director has significant influence on
overall strategic responsibility and is recognized as a technical expert.
He/she works on abstract concepts and leads projects involving complex
variables. Provides broad or deep functional leadership and oversight for
multiple projects and/or work teams. Monitors the business environment for
trends that could potentially affect success of function or business and acts
to address them. May have managerial responsibility. May develop budgets
and/or ensure financial objectives are met. May have overall responsibility
for a functional area within a group, office, region/cluster.Primary Responsibilities of this role may include:Implement the business model and technologies which are aligned to the
strategic business direction of the US firm.
Provide overall leadership and work directly for the project sponsors.
Function as the senior US IT business representative and thought leader for the
functional team and project sponsors.
Provide subject matter expertise and exert heavy influence in the overall
business planning, using current knowledge and future vision of technology and
business requirements as it relates to the firms competitive use of functional
resources.
Provide strong leadership and project management expertise to ensure the
project implementation time frames are met.
Together with business stakeholders, develop ongoing strategy and systems plan
for the application.
Ideal candidate would have international business experience
Represents US IT to Firm Leadership and Leaders within the LOS to develop
information technology strategy.
Communicates to Levels 4 and 5 managers on application actions to accomplish
broad business goals and objectives.
Responsible for people development and relationship management at the
Leadership level
Has major budgetary responsibilities with decisions bearing directly on US IT's
ability to offer services.
Delivery of quality outputs
Overall strategic leadership and service offering responsibility for a
functional area involving the Firm's application systems.
Work with other DS Groups to design the technology infrastructure across all
technical environments
Ensure completeness and compatibility of the technical infrastructure to
support system performance, availability and architecture requirements
Assess and select vendor solutions to achieve our enterprise objectives
Review and participate in testing of the data design, tool design, data
extracts/transforms, networks and hardware selections
Work closely with the other teams with the Development and Technology Services
Organizations to achieve a mutual end resultEducation and Other Typical Requirements
Four year degree in any business or technical area or equivalent experience is
preferred plus ten or more years relevant
work experience.
Productivity, initiative, professionalism, customer service attitude, attention
to detail and quality, ability to multitask, team focus, strong interpersonal
skills, strong verbal and written communication skills and adherence to firm
and US IT standard operating procedures.
Ability to embrace a rapidly changing environment.
Strong skills utilizing LN databases and Microsoft Office Suite
Must be willing to work overtime as necessary. Required to carry cell phone,
pager or blackberry.
Must be skilled Project Manager; able to organize, plan and carry out complex
assignments

REQUIREMENTS

IT and Business background in implementation of large scale systems
Complete material understanding of the end to end PwC business at a detailed
operational level.
Proven delivery record in managing large project implementations (with
significant I/T components)
Established business relationships within PwC leadership
Experience in leading business initiatives with a strong technical understanding
Strong business acumen in professional services
Strong technical acumen in large ERP solutions
Expert knowledge of Business Change Management
Gathering, compiling, interpreting, synthesizing and normalizing information
from business processes or technology systems.
Project Management Expertise: Knowledge of the principles, theories, practices
and techniques for managing the activities associated with planning and
implementing projects.
Defining and applying standards and measures of quality based on customer
requirements and statistical analysis.
Strong Engagement Management Experience required
Rigorous approach to planning, execution, and project control.
Ability to manage the details as well as the big picture
Strong oral and written communication
Knowledge of team management concepts and principles; Strong facilitator; Diplomacy; Ability to influence others Creative; Well organized.
