IT Analyst-Application Integration

Qualified candidate will be responsible for delivering application integrations into productions, providing ongoing support for both internal (A2A) and external (B2B) application integrations, working with both external customers and internal partners to resolve application integration issues, maintaining infrastructures, and participating in projects with development work.



Support and projects are often across business units, functions, geographies. Work is complex because of a variety of different applications on a variety of platforms, multiple business units and/or internal/external customers involved. May occasionally have to deliver projects or application integration rollouts on a tight schedule. Occasional travel to other Cargill locations may be required.





Principal Accountabilities:



Provide internal and external application integration support. Participate in on-call rotation along with other team members. Trouble-shoot production issues to get them resolved per service level agreement (SLA), which could take place during after hours if SLA requires. (40%)



Participate in application integration projects and conduct development work. (20%)



Set up productive application integration environment, assist customers for application integration testing, and roll out application integrations in production environment. (15%)



Communicate and follow up with customers on major productive issues during trouble-shooting process, and/or work with customers for root-cause analyses. (10%)



Maintain application integration infrastructures by working with other CITS teams. (10%)



Provide operational status reports, document application integration specific knowledge from trouble-shooting perspective, do cross training with rest of the team. (5%)

REQUIREMENTS


Required Skills:Bachelor's degree with 2-3 years professional IT experience, or equivalent experience. Strong understanding of Unix and Microsoft server environments, database, and general networking fundamentals required. Good communication skills and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal. I/T customer service or support experience, preferably with 24x7 support.



Desired Skills:Knowledge of messaging, middleware, and distributed computing highly desired. Ability to work successfully both in a team environment and independently highly desired. Experience with Perl and Unix shell scripts. Previous experience with Java, C and C++.
