IS and T Administrator
Purpose: IS and T Administrator SUMMARY: An IS&T Administrator modifies and makes minor repairs to personal computer hardware and software systems, and printers and provides technical assistance and training to system users by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following; other duties will be assigned, as required.
Installs hardware and peripheral components such as desktop computer, lab top computers, monitors, modems, phones, printers, and print servers.
Install and maintain software configuration of the above hardware and peripheral devices by using Ghost for Computer setup, and any other company-approved method for installing/upgrading software to the computers.
Creates new users accounts for network access, e-mail, Axapta and ensures that all accounts are functional and that users are trained on log I procedures. Maintain accounts to ensure that only current employees have active accounts.
Provides technical support/help desk duties to users on the Local Area Network as well as users that are remote the network.
Recommends or performs minor remedial actions to correct problems.
Files, tracks, and complete warranty claims for failed hardware with the company approved vendor.
Escalates any issues that are not able to be resolved to manager for assistance
Will serve as the 24x7 contact for technical support and be responsible for tape changing duties.
Provides updates, status, and completion information to manager via voice mail, e-mail or in-person communication.
Provides assistance in major systems upgrades that have an impact on the day to day operations of the desktop systems. Sometimes these upgrades will be outside of the normal work shift.
Organizes and manages software media and licensing to ensure company compliance.
Records placement and movement in the IS&T Inventory Database.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly or indirectly supervises employees in the IS&T Department. Carries our supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization?s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Individual must have a minimum of 18 months of computer experience. An accounting background would be a plus. Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field preferred.
