IS Manager Transportation

Must have a firm understanding of TMS, not as programmer, but as a transportation expert who is capable to taking the IS department to the next level.

This is a STRATEGIC planning position. Will be responsible for proactively championing changes within transportation.

NO direct reports - not involved in the day to day operations -Strategic.

Will leverage the current investment in core TMS technology and also research, outline, select and implement new adjunct technologies in the transportation area

Implement processes to support growth. Identify gaps and provide IS solutions.

Work with customers to meet the evolving needs of transportation services

Ideas of areas to investigate:

Yard Management - Trailer Tracking - Build brokerage - Fleet Management - Driver Management, etc.

Experience with Maddocks software a plus.
REQUIREMENTS
A leading distribution services company that provides warehousing, transportation, contract packaging and integrated logistics services nationwide.

The IS Manager is a new position due to the growth of the company. The Transportation portion of the business has continued to grow each year and now is in need of an IS MANAGER who will report to the Director of IS.

Bachelor degree with solid academic accomplishments, preferably in a technology related field is required. An advanced, or computer science, degree would receive favorable consideration
