We have an immediate opening in our Phoenix, AZ Headquarters for an experienced I.T. Supervisor. The IT Supervisor’s role is to ensure the uninterrupted, efficient operation of the IT Department in alignment with the business objectives of the organization. This individual will plan, coordinate, direct, and design IT-related activities of the organization, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the IT department. The IT Supervisor will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technological solutions for all aspects of the organization. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, the IT Supervisor will also recommend and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide IT Department operational and strategic planning, including fostering innovation, planning projects, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources.
• Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, telecommunications infrastructure, hardware, software, and peripherals (including printers, scanners, plotters, and fax machines).
• Make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.
• Oversee and provide end-user services, including help desk and technical support services.
• Plan and implement server upgrades, maintenance fixes, and vendor-supplied patches.
• Provide I.T. services to external clients when necessary including equipment specification, server installation, system backup, troubleshooting, and miscellaneous support. Setup and maintain VPN connections for users in remote offices.
• Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.
• Conduct, organize, and report research on potential technology solutions in support of procurement efforts.
• Maintain current knowledge of the latest technologies.
• Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
• Help develop and implement IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.
• Practice asset management for IT hardware, software, and equipment.
• Manage IT staff, including supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
• Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization’s executives, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent IT activities.
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED)
• Qualified applicants must possess a minimum of 3 years experience, preferably as an Information Technology Supervisor/Manager in a complex technical environment.

• Expert problem-solver. Sorts through complex issues and conducts comparative analysis of multiple solutions.
• Extensive knowledge of networking standards, protocols, security, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Expert at analyzing complex functions, procedures, and problems to find creative, logical, and effective solutions.
• Extensive working knowledge of operating systems and platforms to include LANs, software and hardware, programming techniques and database technologies.
• Advanced Windows 2000/2003/XP user and setup skills.
• Excellent multi-tasking skills. Prioritizes and performs a variety of concurrent tasks with minimal direction.
• Ensure system uptime requirements of 24 x 7 x 365.
• Available to work after hours, weekends, and as required.
• Experience in hardware provisioning, installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Expert knowledge of LAN/WAN networking, servers, workstations, operating systems, VPN, Internet connectivity, security services, load monitoring, back-up procedures and applications.
• Extensive experience troubleshooting network clients and servers.
QUALIFICATIONS (PREFERRED)
• Bachelors degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent education/experience/training).
• Professional certification (MCSE, A+, etc.) strongly preferred.
• Expert knowledge of Windows 2000/2003 Server, Active Directory, Exchange Server, and SQL Server.
• Extensive experience with network maintenance including security services, load monitoring, system resiliency, back-up, and restore.
• Background includes firewalls, anti-virus, encryption algorithms, security protocols, and monitoring tools.
• Demonstrated knowledge of computer desktop hardware and applications and LAN/WAN messaging, remote access, mobile computing technologies.
• Experience with SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems.
